The Pursuit of Happiness is my curatorial project that has been devised throughout 2008-2010 in collaboration with Tekla Wozniak. The project involved over 30 international visual and sonic artists as well as some writers and graphic designers. The Pursuit of Happiness Project evolved from a Net Gallery (2008), through the pop up exhibition, presentation and a screening during This Is Not a Gateway Festival in London (October 2009), to the show at the Arsenal Gallery in Poznan (Poland, May 2010) followed by the exhibition at the Centre of European Meetings in Elblag (Poland, July 2010). There were two publications produced to coincide with TPoH Project; a book prepared on the occasion of the event in 2009 and the catalogue of the show in Poland published in 2010 by the Arsenal Gallery.

“Nothing is funnier than unhappiness”

Samuel Beckett - Endgame

"(...) We are most happy when we are moving forward towards something that is not yet attained. This feeling also extends to physical motion in space... we are happier in a car because we are moving forward towards an identifiable and attainable goal."

Andrea Zittel - Billboards at A-Z West

 A. Let's go for a walk.
 B. I cannot walk. I want to cry.
 A. ?
 B. I cannot walk and cry at the same time. I need to stand still when I am crying.
 A. To cry about what?
 B. We have nowhere to go. We have this place, and that's all.
 A. Let's walk and cry together. That would be easier to do.
 B. (walking) It's easier to laugh when you are walking.
 A. Let's move faster, and then we could laugh.
 B. It is funny indeed - to walk so fast. I'm laughing.
 A. I'm laughing too. Let's run.
 B. (running) Oh my goodness, how happy we are!
